BREAKING: Ivy Ridge Trail wins planning funds

Get it Built!

Big news! Pennsylvania’s Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) just announced $50,000 to support feasiblity and planning for Ivy Ridge Trail and the connector to Montgomery County, the Manayunk Bridge. This funding will be matched by William Penn and managed by Kay Sykora and the Schuylkill Project.

Congratulations to all of you who have worked on this project since it was just a good idea looking for some strong backs, two years ago. With your help, we are half way there. We’ll be in touch to ask for your ideas, support, and participation in the planning process over the next several months.

Meanwhile, take a moment to send thanks to Kay at the Schuylkill Project for winning the state’s support: friend them on Facebook.

And send money to the Bicycle Coalition, which has just an incredible record of turning our contributions into millions of dollars to support the creation of the Schuylkill River Trail, our piece included. If you’re not a member, you should be.
